”格物致知“的故事：

The background of GeWu ZhiZhi- Investigating the nature of things to obtain knowledge:

格物致知是中国古代儒家思想中的一个重要概念，乃儒家专门研究事物道理的一个理论，已失佚，源于《礼记‧大学》八目——格物、致知、诚意、正心、修身、齐家、治国、平天下

As an important concept in ancient Chinese Confucianism, it is a theory dedicated to the study of the truth of things, which originated from the eight steps(GeWu, ZhiZhi, ChengYi, ZhengXin, XiuShen, QiJia, ZhiGuo PingTianXia) of individual moral cultivation, self country governance in the Book of Rites – the Great Learning.

GeWu—to investigate the nature of things

ZhiZhi—to acquire knowledge

ChengYi—to be honest, no cheating to others oneself

ZhengXin—to be fair

XiuShen—to cultivate the moral self

QiJia—to regulate the family

ZhiGuo—to maintain the state rightly

PingTianXai— make all peaceful

格物致知的含义：“欲诚其意者，先致其知；致知在格物。物格而后知至，知至而后意诚”——推究事物的原理，从而获得知识。

The meaning of GeWu ZhiZhi “Those who wish to be true to their intentions will know it first. To know the thing is based on investigating the nature of things. Knowledge comes after investigating, then to be honest” – to acquire knowledge by investigating the nature of things.

格物: 探究事物的道理纠正人的行为。

GeWu: to investigate the nature of things

ZhiZhi: to acquire knowledge

睿思：圣明的思虑

RuiSi: to explore inner-self think in a wise far-sighted way

进取：努力上进，力图有所作为

JinQu: to work hard make a difference
